When you lose all or most of your teeth, facial muscles begin to sag and wrinkle, making you look older. Dentures are removable replacements for your lost teeth and will help fill out and improve the appearance of your face and profile. Dentures closely resemble natural teeth. They make it easier to eat and speak better than you could without teeth.

Complete Dentures

Losing all of your teeth from decay, disease or accidental injury can be devastating. You may wonder how you will function on a daily basis or if you will ever want to be out in public again. We understand the importance of your teeth, both as a tool needed to perform everyday tasks such as eating and speaking, and also for their visual appeal. Losing your teeth doesn’t have to ruin your life. When you lose all the teeth in your upper or lower jawbone, you can replace them with a complete denture. The Denture Place has been very successful at matching dentures to a patient’s natural teeth and finding the perfect fit. We offer two kinds of dentures:

Conventional Dentures

Conventional dentures are made after the teeth are removed and your mouth has completely healed. It can take up to 6 weeks for the healing process to wrap up, and during that time the patient goes without teeth. Once your dentures are placed, they will be a near- perfect fit.

Immediate Dentures

Immediate dentures are made in advance and placed in your mouth immediately after tooth extraction. Since your mouth will take time to heal and during the healing process your gums will change and shrink, these dentures will only fit temporarily. Once your mouth has finished healing, they will need to be adjusted to ensure a good fit.

Partial Dentures

If you have lost some of your teeth to decay, gum disease or traumatic injury, you will need a partial denture to fill up the spaces where the teeth are missing. We have two options for partial dentures:

Transitional Partial Dentures

These dentures are removable, made from plastic and relatively inexpensive compared to other options. We use them as a temporary solution to replace missing teeth following an extraction. Once your mouth has fully healed, a more permanent solution (such as dental implants) can be placed.

Removable Partial Dentures

These dentures are usually made of cast vitallium. They are metal based, lighter and typically less obtrusive than those made from plastic. They also tend to fit better!

If you have been suffering in any way because of missing teeth, we would love to talk to you more about all of your options. We know we can restore your ability to eat and speak just as well as you used to!

Crown and Bridges

A dental bridge is made up of two anchoring teeth on either side of a gap these are called abutment teeth. Inside the gap sits the false tooth, called a pontic, which can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials. Adversely, a dental implant can be used to replace multiple teeth without the support of adjacent healthy teeth. Implants are fused to the jawbone and become a permanent fixture, lasting a lifetime with little maintenance required

Tooth Fillings & Repair

If you have cracked or broken teeth, or teeth that suffer from tooth decay, your dentist will most likely recommend fillings to repair the teeth. The decay is removed from a tooth using a drill, or sometimes a laser. Once the decay is gone, your dentist will shape the tooth to prepare it for the filling. After the filling is placed, your dentist will polish and smooth the tooth so it feels good as new.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is actually a root replacement, and unlike the root of a tooth, it is actually fused to the bone of the jaw. A crown is attached to the implant and becomes a standalone tooth, functioning and appearing just like the natural tooth you have lost. By contrast, a fixed bridge is a tooth restoration that is fixed in place by attaching to the natural adjacent teeth, which provide support on either side.

Root Canals

A root canal repairs and saves a tooth that is badly decayed or has been infected. The nerve and pulp of the tooth are removed, then the tooth is cleaned and sealed to prevent further decay and infection.

Dental veneers are super thin, flexible porcelain liners designed to cover the front surface of any teeth that may be discolored or misshapen to improve its appearance. The liners bond to the teeth, changing their color, shape and size, and are more stain resistant than an actual resin tooth.

Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are extra protection against cavities and the buildup of plaque, especially for the back molars where decay occurs most often. The sealant is painted directly onto the tooth enamel where it bonds to the tooth and hardens, acting as a barrier against food particles and plaque.
